Show your stripes for Flag Day

Flag Day is Saturday. In honor of the Veteran’s Outreach Centers 40th Anniversary, it’s time to show your pride in our stripes.

Mayor Warren has proclaimed this week “Home Front Flags Week” in the city. Todd Baxter, the Executive Director of the VOC (and former Greece Police Chief and a vet himself) is asking us all to display our flags at our homes to salute our vets who have sacrificed for our flag and freedom.

If you don’t own a flag, you can purchase one at Stars & Stripes on South Ave., by the VOC.

In a related story, CDS Monarch will salute all vets on Flag Day with a picnic for the Warrior Salute program on Hard Rd. in Webster Saturday from 12:30p – 2:30p. God bless all those who have fought for Old Glory.
